Career EdVantage Postsecondary Funding
Students accepted into Career EdVantage are eligible for postsecondary scholarship funding to support education and training aligned with their chosen career path.
To qualify for this funding during high school, students must meet specific program expectations, including:
Successful completion of an Iowa Western/high school concurrent enrollment course
Regular meetings with their Career Coach
Development of a personalized Career Plan (with their Coach)
Completion of a paid internship facilitated by Career EdVantage
Career EdVantage scholarships are provided as last-dollar funding—covering any remaining costs after grants and other scholarships have been applied.
Eligible students may receive funding at Iowa Western Community College for up to two years, including coverage for:
Tuition and fees
Required tools, books, uniforms, and certifications
Transportation costs
Postsecondary funding does not cover:
Housing
Food
