Postsecondary Pathways with Career EdVantage
“Postsecondary” simply means “after high school.” So, what comes next for Career EdVantage students?
With support from their Career Coach, students identify the path best aligned with their career goals, abilities, and interests. After high school, students typically pursue one of two options: enrolling at Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) for further education and training, or entering the workforce in full-time employment.
Iowa Western Community College Pathway
Enroll in an approved career program at IWCC
Access tuition assistance through IWCC or the Career EdVantage Scholarship
Choose to live at home or independently
Continue working with Career Coaches to ensure academic and career success
Workforce Pathway
Participate in career readiness programming
Partner with Career EdVantage to secure full-time employment opportunities
Receive on-the-job training tailored to individual career goals
Maintain support from Career Coaches to promote long-term success
