Career EdVantage Internship Program
Designed to retain young talent in our region, Career EdVantage partners with local businesses to provide high school students with eight-week, paid summer internships across a variety of career fields. These internships are mutually beneficial: businesses gain motivated student employees who help meet organizational needs, while students acquire invaluable, hands-on career experience in real-world settings.
Before beginning their internships, students complete a college-level professional skills course and participate in programming that emphasizes career coaching and self-awareness. Throughout the internship, students receive ongoing guidance and support from Career EdVantage coaches to ensure a meaningful and successful experience.
Through the Career EdVantage Internship Program, students gain the skills, confidence, and practical knowledge needed to transition into well-prepared, successful employees, strengthening both their future and the workforce of Southwest Iowa.
